Thank you to those who attended UD’s 8th annual Alumni Weekend and helped celebrate our outstanding alumni here at STAR.
The College has identified the following specific funding objectives:
- Endowed professorships and endowed chairs attract and retain the most accomplished and prestigious faculty, especially in areas of demonstrated strength, such as physical therapy, exercise science, medical laboratory sciences, and nursing.
- Ongoing and endowed graduate fellowships customized to the dynamic needs of each program enable us to attract high-quality graduate students.
- Ongoing and endowed undergraduate scholarships enable the college to attract and ensure the success of a diverse and premiere student body, affording them the finest clinical, research, and study abroad opportunities available.
- Unrestricted support allows the Office of the Dean to fund emerging and continuing initiatives as it proceeds on the Path to Prominence.
Alumni and friends are a critical component of our success. Our graduates impact people’s daily lives and serve as our best ambassadors, working, practicing, and teaching throughout the United States and in other countries.
We depend strongly on alumni and friends to augment state funding and support from research contracts and grants. Alumni can also provide support by mentoring current students, giving seminars, and coordinating internships. The University of Delaware is state-assisted, yet privately governed. Gifts from individuals, businesses, and foundations empower us to provide our students with the finest education possible. Secure and growing funding affords our students access to the research and clinical experiences vital to acquiring necessary expertise. Your gift may be designated to the department of your choice with confidence that it will be used for the purpose you intended. You may also give directly to the Dean’s Initiative Fund, enabling the college to fund its wide array of ongoing, diverse programs. Employer matching funds may multiply your financial support of the College. Click here to find out if your company has such a program. Make a difference now by contributing online. On behalf of the College of Health Sciences community, we thank you for your support.
