Catherine is a native Delawarean and alumna of the University of Delaware, and she believes that finding your passion in life is a journey, not a single-stop destination. Her journey began after graduation with an internship at MBNA, which turned into a full-time position as a Publication Specialist. While she enjoyed the creative aspects of designing publications, she realized that she wanted to help students, so she returned to school and earned a Master’s degree in Education specializing in Academic Counseling. She worked as a Guidance Counselor for middle and high school students, and eventually went on to work at UD as the Academic Advisor in Chemical Engineering. Later in her career, she combined working with both high school and college students as the Associate Director for Education and Outreach programs at the Delaware Biotechnology Institute. Now, Catherine is excited to be back working with Undergraduates as the Assistant Dean for Student Services in the College of Health Sciences!
When Catherine is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her son, attending as many Broadway shows as possible, and taking nature walks with her puppy, Emmy.

Outside of UD I like to spend time with my husband in the mountains of PA. I love precious days spent with my daughters and grandsons. I like to take pictures, do puzzles, read, watch movies, and take walks in the woods with my German shepherd Jaegermeister.
