We are so excited you are furthering your education by participating in the fall 2020 semester with the University of Delaware College of Health Sciences! Whether you’re joining us virtually or in-person, we want to assure you that your professors, department chairs and College leadership have all carefully and critically evaluated numerous options to ensure that our students will have a rich academic experience. We have looked at the broader landscape and worked to creatively address how we can create unique opportunities for students in each of our programs. Our faculty and staff are excited and ready for a unique and impactful semester.

Professor Martha Hall is developing a pattern of success in UD’s wearable technology lab

RESEARCH SPOTLIGHT

Jen Horney is a professor and founding director of the Epidemiology program in the College of Health Sciences

She is a leading authority on public health, with research specializing on the impacts of natural disasters and how communities and individuals can take action to prepare, respond and recover when they happen. She also has trained rapid response teams around the world to respond to outbreaks of novel and re-emerging diseases

She is a member of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response Board of Scientific Counselors.

She talked about the novel coronavirus and what actions may be taken here in the US and Delaware
